These beautiful mugs are created in my home studio in Melrose, MA using a pottery wheel. The clay is thrown into shape and then dried overnight. I then trim the pieces, add a handle and sign each one on the bottom. I press leaves into the clay and carfully remove before letting them dry completely. Once dried a few more days they are fired in my electric kiln. Once cooled I add a wax resist to the leaf area and then they are glazed using a variation of different glazes and then fired again.
Each one is unique and one of a kind. These make great gifts!
Top rack dishwasher safe, made using food safe/ lead free clay and glaze.
